Though
we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it
with us or we find it not."
—
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Adam Parke is a man of nature.
He is also a man of conviction. By all standards, a true Vermonter,
born in the Champlain Valley…The North East Kingdom of Vermont
and Adam’s “Wind Swept Farm” depicts a way of
life that most dream of. It’s that way of life he gladly shares
with anyone wishing to experience, learn and savor with a global
reach. It reflects his passion for “keeping things healthy”
and “organics” that go into the farming of his organic
Balsam Firs and pure Vermont Maple Syrup high above “May Pond”.
Both his trees and syrup are sold at his 8 Christmas Tree stands
throughout Brooklyn. A percentage of the proceeds support the Monte
Verde Cultural Exchange, a not-for-profit organization formed with
members of the “Bread and Puppet Theater”. Well-drilling
and water purification systems throughout Central America; Implementing
sustainable agriculture and seed-saving work in Nicaragua with efforts
towards the construction of new homes for earthquake and now flood
victims of Haiti are only a few of their humanitarian efforts.
